| The Lowenbrau Oktoberfest began at Hotel Yak & Yeti, Kathmandu from September 21. The fest is on till September 26. Traditionally Oktoberfest is the world's largest beer festival held annually in Munich, Germany. The 16-day party attracts over millions of people to Germany every year who consume gallons of beer, pork sausages, and spit-roasted chickens during the two-week extravaganza. Oktoberfest is taken as one of Munich's largest and most profitable tourist attractions.The folk festival has given its name to similar festivals worldwide that are at least in part modeled after the original Bavarian Oktoberfest. |
