Breaking News: EH's Skydivers make high altitude jumps at the highest drop zone, Gorak ShepWednesday - 28th October 2009 |
| Explore Himalaya is pleased to announce the successful completion of Everest Skydive jumps at Gorak Shep in the Everest region earlier this morning, October 28, 2009. Tom Noonan (USA) and Wendy Smith (New Zealand) made solo jumps from a height of 20,500ft at 7:30 AM (local time), while Jai Kishan (India) performed a solo skydive from 21,000 feet at 9 AM (local time) landing at the world's highest drop zone Gorak Shep Kala Patthar plateau at 17,192ft. Explore Himalaya congratulates the skydivers for their successful jumps. The jumps were made from Fishtail Air's new helicopter AS 350B3. |
