Tourism promotion program organised in UKMonday - 12th July 2010 |
| The Embassy of Nepal in London in coordination with the Nepalese Himalayan Association, Scotland and Scot- Nepalese Friendship Society organised a grand tourism promotion program at Aberdeen, Scotland of the United Kingdom on 3 July, 2010 focusing on the campaign of Nepal Tourism Year 2011 (NTY-2011). According to a press release issued by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Dr Suresh C. Chalise, the ambassador of Nepal to UK, praised the various facets of age-old special ties existing between Nepal and the UK and expressed ideas to further deepening of relations through various economic co-operations besides tourism. Worshipful Lord Provost of Aberdeen Peter Stephen also said that such event will not only help strengthen the ties between the people of Aberdeen City and Shire and the Nepalese people but encourage new interest in tourism and other business sectors. Minister Counselor, Jhabindra Aryal has also presented Nepal's amazing tourist destinations, national heritages, flora and fauna and cultural sites of historical importance among other things. The event has also publicised and distributed the various tourism related materials and Nepali cultural program were also performed to the participating guest. On the occassion, Ambassador Chalise also interacted with the Nepalese community members and informed them about the ongoing peace process of Nepal. He also encouraged all to support the ongoing peace process from their respective places and also help in the promotion NTY-2011. The Embassy of Nepal is also scheduled to organise the next program in Wales in late July. nepalnews.com |
