US national missing near Everest

Search and rescue operations for an American national- Trevor Stokol, 25- who went missing near Everest region a week ago is on going, reports said.

According to a news posted on everestnews.com, an online news portal on Everest, Stokol went missing when he was separated from his group near the base camp while taking pictures last Friday.

A resident of Dallas, his family members have sent Sherpas and an aircraft towards the location for a search mission.

Despite repeated attempts for latest information about Stokol, officials at the American embassy and American Center were not available for comments.
