Chinese delegation in Kathmandu

An interaction programme was organized in Nepal Tourism Board on August 1, 2005 with visiting Chinese delegation team from Shigatse Prefecture Tibet who were here in quest of achieving first hand information about Nepal. August 1, 2005 was observed as Golden Jubilee Celebration of establishment of Nepal-China cordial relationship. Interacting with NTB officials His Excellency Mr. Feng Yu Long, Vice Governor- Shigatse Prefecture expressed interest to work together to make a flow of tourists from Tibet to Nepal. His Excellency further proposed to interact with NTB officials regularly and invited NTB officials to visit Shigatse.

Mr. Tek Bahadur Dangi, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board requested to add more flights in Tibet-Kathmandu route in economic rate so as to accelerate the flows of tourists in both the places. Mr. Dangi said the direct bus service in Kathmandu-Tibet route is bringing people of Tibet and Nepal more closer and abet to develop Nepal-China relationship to greater avenues. Mr. Chemyi, Director-Shigatse District Tour Bureau, Tibet and Ms. Nandini Lahe Thapa, Director-NTB were also present on the programme. |
