Like Buffaloes in Hot Water

| It is winter here in Nepal, but whatever the time of year thousands of people flock to immerse themselves in the hot water pool of the Myagdi district of western Nepal. The pool has been popular for decades. Most of the people visit here to seek a natural cure for their ailments, but some come for fun. Taking a hot water dip in the winter season is really relaxing. My recent and first experience of a natural hot water spring and its pool was really thrilling and hilarious. When I approached the 608 square foot (184 meter square) pool, I could see the vapors above it. How hot is it? It was my question to myself. First I tested the water by putting my hand in, then I stepped forward and put my foot in the pool. First I felt uneasy due to the temperature of the water, but later when I gradually sank my body into the pool I felt normal and relaxed. |
