Milan tourism fair fruitful, says BoardTuesday - 27th February 2007 |
| Nepal Tourism Board, along with other trekking and travel agencies, took part in the Borsa Internationale del Turismo (BIT) 2007, international tourism fair held in Milan of Italy from February 22 to 25. The fair with 5,000 exhibitors that attracted around 150,000 persons provided a very encouraging environment for the promotion of Nepali tourism in Italy in particular and Europe in general, says the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). According to the board, the Nepali stall was successfully attracting a large number of visitors basically interested in trekking. Italian visitors were impressed with Nepali tourism products like trekking and adventure sports, and cultural activities. Various promotional materials were also distributed on the occasion. Public relations representative of Nepal Tourism Board, Paolo Nugari also actively participated in the fair. Those representing the private sector in the fair included Explore Himalaya Travel and Adventure, Himalayan Sherpa Adventure, Monterosa Trek and Expedition and Travel Net International. |
