Nepal at Thai travel fairWednesday - 07th March 2007 |
| Nepal Tourism Board along with Nepal Airlines and Nepalese Tour Operators participated in the Thai Travel Agents Association and Association of Domestic Traveler (TTAA & ADT) International Travel Fair 2007 in Bangkok, Thailand from March 1 to 4, 2007. With more than 200 tour operators, hotels, resorts, airlines, and travel media, the show registered the presence of about 21,000 travel enthusiasts. The Fair was a one-roof travel show where visitors and exhibitors from across the globe shared the passion for travel, pointed out an NTB release. It was inaugurated by Lt Dr Suvit Yodmani, minister of tourism and sports, Thailand on March 1, 2007. Thai travellers got an opportunity to explore various pilgrimage, holiday, and adventure travel options. Nepal’s participation at the fair was focused on the theme of its new tourism brand: “Unleash Yourself.... Naturally Nepal - Once is not enough.” Most of the queries of visitors pertained to Lumbini, Kathmandu and Pokhara, added the release. Nepal was represented by the secretary for culture, tourism and civil aviation, Madhav P Ghimire, charge de affairs’ for embassy of Nepal Arjun K Mainali, besides NTB officials. Dolpa Treks and Trailbrazer from Nepal also showcased their products at the fair. |
