Nepal : Handicraft Fair kicks off at Hanumandhoka Durbar Square

| A three-day long Handicraft Fair was organised by the Kathmandu Handicraft Association and Women Entrepreneurs (WE) inaugurated today at Hanumandhoka Durbar Square. According to Minister of State for Labour and Transport Management Ramesh Lekhak, handicraft plays a great role in identifying the nation’s culture and encouraging the artists. Dignitaries present at the programme were Chairman of the WE, Mrs Bina Gautam Shakya, Legislator Tirtharam Dangol, Director General of the Department of Small and Cottage Industry Maheshwor Paudel, Chairman of the Nepal Handicraft Federation Pancharatna Shakya, National Convenor of the Micro Entrepreneurs Development Programme Laxman Pun also expressed their views on various aspects of Handicraft. About 32 stalls have been set up to display handicrafts at the Fair. |
