The Second NATTA Himalayan International Travel Mart is scheduled to be organised in Kathmandu from May 11 to 13.
It is being organised with an objective of promoting the unique tourism products, culture, tradition and lifestyle of the Nepali people in national and international arena.
In a press conference organised here Sunday, it was informed that more than 100 tour operators of 13 countries including India, Bangladesh, China, Spain, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and UAE would take part at this travel mart.
Earlier, the International Travel Mart was successfully organised for the first time in Nepal in 2005.
The fair, which is being organised by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), would be a perfect platform to meet, discuss, negotiate and ultimately clinch the deal under one umbrella for speedy recovery and sustainable growth of Nepal's tourism.
The Fair to be held in Birendra International Conference Centre, New Baneshwor, would have Nepalese attire, culture, tradition, lifestyle and new tourism heritages.
The NTB has also scheduled to organise the National Tourism Fair on the sidelines of the same occasion.
The Fair will encourage all the tourism related stakeholders like tourism development committees, tourism colleges, handicraft producers, cultural event promoters to showcase their services to the general public as well as the foreigners, said Acting Executive Chief of the Board Subhash Niraula. |
