Spanish climber killed in Taplejung

A Spanish climber was killed after falling down a cliff while returning form Yamphudin Base Camp in Taplejung Saturday night.

According to the climber's guide Ramesh Pulami of Dhading, his ward died after falling from the cliff in Tellok-3, Thesemba while returning from the base camp.

The deceased has been identified as Lanbaschne Lore of Spain.

The police said that a team from the Area Police Station, Tellok was dispatched to the site of the incident immediately after being informed of the accident.

Details of the incident were yet to be known, the police said.

The site of the incident is some five furlongs from Tellok.
