Nepal wins Travel Destination Award

Nepal has bagged the New Travel Routes Contest 2007 award from the organizers of International Travel Exhibition (ITE) being held in HKG from 14-17 June 2007.
According to a press release issued by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) Sunday, the contest was conducted through the visitors' survey of the trade, media and consumers that attended ITE 2007.
The award is a testament to the new confidence in the destination which is also reflected in the tourist arrival numbers in 2007.
Nepal's participation at ITE this year was organized to further promote Nepal in the Chinese market which has shown remarkable growth this year.
Nepal's participation in ITE 2007 was focused on the theme of the New Tourism Brand, Unleash Yourself ... Naturally Nepal -- Once Is Not Enough, and Visit POKHARA YEAR 2007 Campaign.
Along with Nepal Tourism Board, three private sector companies -- Asian Trekking, Amadablam Adventure and Dharma Adventure participated at ITE 2007 this year. |
