TOURIST FOUND DEAD IN NEPAL

A Backpacker who sold his home to fulfil his dream of travelling the world has been found dead at a beauty spot in the Himalayas.

The body of plumber Brian Johnson (54), of Lee Road, off Wragby Road, Lincoln, was found alone in a fishing boat in the Pokhara region of Nepal.

Just days earlier he had sent postcards and e-mails to friends explaining what a great time he was having at the start of a round-the-world tour.

Authorities in Nepal have so far been unable to establish exactly how he died.

Mr Johnson's body is due to be brought back to England this week with an inquest into his death expected to open next week.
