Nepal Airlines Corporation resumes int'l flightsSunday - 12th August 2007 |
| KATHMANDU, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) resumed its international flights on Saturday after nine days of halt. After both of Boeings on NAC\'s fleet got grounded, the state-flag-carrier had been forced to halt all international flights. According to a leading website in Nepal, eKantipur.com report, one of Boeings was taken to Brunei for regular technical inspection while the other has been grounded due to technical problems for long. The engine of the plane which is in Brunei has been fitted on the grounded plane to resume international flights, NAC officials said. The state-run enterprise has been incurring heavy losses due to disruption of the international flights. NAC employees have been pressing the government to add at least one more Boeing to salvage the ailing corporation. |
